| Your 1997 results leave out vote of 3,639 (11%) for Tommy Sheridan, who had captured 19% from a prison cell (for disrupting warrant sales) at the 1992 general election and went on to win 21.5% of the Pollok vote for MSP in 1999. (BBC website) This does nothing to change the fact that in 2001 long-time Labour stalwart and frequent Blair critic Ian Davidson MP should hold his seat easily, as Labour usually does in this part of the world. |
