| A safe Conservative seat. Despite the good showing of the second-placed Liberal Democrats in various local elections overing the area, the LibDems would need to pick up 11% of the vote to win here. The Labour vote is eminently squeezable, but not enought for this seat to change hands. Expect a turnout well below the 75% of 1997. |
